We are a lively, friendly and informal club, both socially and
athletically, with a membership of about 270. At the top end we
have several county-standard runners, while further down the field
the "Joggers" epithet is more pertinent. Male/female split is
about 55/45, and ages range from 17 to 70 (yes, really). We are
surrounded by splendid running country, so many of our summer runs
are off-road, as is Sunday morning's throughout the year.
Many members take part in events/races of all sorts and varying
distances, on and off-road, in all seasons. But you don't need to
be a "racer" - other members simply run for fun, taking pleasure
in running in friendly company and glorious countryside.
We welcome runners of all standards, including beginners. We have
club runs on four weeknights, normally at 6:30 or 7:30 pm; also on
Wednesdays at 9:30 am and Sundays at 9 am. All these runs are from
the Sandhurst/Yateley/Crowthorne area. There is also a weekly
track session at Bracknell. We also have occasional social
occasions and "pub-runs".
